Our Philosphy

We believe that our task is to promote animal well-being in all its forms and honour the human-animal bond. Excellence in medicine, surgery, and patient care is our absolute priority.

We enjoy and appreciate working with the community around us to help promote the welfare of animals in our society as well as helping to educate our clients on how they can best care for their pets. We are an environmentally sensitive clinic and try to promote wellness in all its forms amidst our practice and to the world around us. We only have one chance and one planet earth...we need to make the most of it. Above all, we want to work with you to provide care and wellness for your cherished animals.

Our pre-eminent mission at Oak Bay Pet Clinic is to work hard to ensure the overall physical and emotional well-being of our patients. We believe our patients are important family members that contribute greatly to all of our daily lives and deserve the best of care. We feel it is our responsibility as their guardians in charge of their care to ensure that all of their needs be met. Our patients’ quality of life is very important to us and we strive to work together with you, our client, to be sure we give back to them what they give us every day - their love, loyalty, honesty, and trust. We honour all animals for everything they give and for their unconditional acceptance of us. We dedicate ourselves to preserving and nurturing the human-animal bond, as well as raising an awareness to help raise the status and rights of all animals in society. All of us here at Oak Bay Pet Clinic would like to collectively say “Thank You!” - to all the special animals that enrich our lives.

We value the relationship between you and your pet - The Human-Animal Bond - and understand it as you do.

We focus on preventative care, providing examinations and consultations, inoculations, high quality prescription diets and supplements, parasite treatment and control, laboratory testing, and access to dentistry and surgical facilities. We also work closely with specialists who offer consultation services when needed. Critical care patients are hospitalized at the Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital (CVVH) under the care of Dr. Dudzic. Patients treated at CVVH overnight are monitored 24 hours then transferred to our doctors' care the next day. Dr. Dudzic also transfers the care of her patients to our emergency clinicians if they require a veterinary by their side at all times.

"I believe that as a veterinarian I have the duty to offer and provide your pet with thorough, quality and compassionate care, and that you as their guardian ultimately hold the key to their well-being. I like to help give back to our animal companions what they give us everyday."

- Dr. Dudzic

"Until he extends his circle of compassion to include all living things, man will not himself find peace."

- Dr. Albert Schwitzer
